Privacy policy

Here you can read what information Amodo Studio processes, why, for how long, and what rights you have.

The Danish version is the legally binding one.

The contact form

When you use the form, I process your name, your email, your company and your choice of topic, if you fill them in, and your message. I use the information to reply to you.

The legal basis is my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and, if you ask for a quote, preparing an agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(f) and (b)). You are not obliged to provide the information, but without name, email and message I cannot reply to you.

The message is sent as an email to my inbox via the email service Resend. The form does not store messages on the website. To prevent abuse, the hosting provider's firewall limits how many messages can be sent from the same IP address in a short time.

How long I keep the information

Your enquiry stays in my inbox as long as we are in contact. I delete it no later than 12 months after our last contact. If we agree on a contract, I keep the information required by the Danish Bookkeeping Act for 5 years. Resend keeps data about sent emails for up to 30 days.

PostHog keeps measurements for 1 year and session recordings for up to 30 days.

Hosting and server logs

The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA) and served from Vercel's servers in Frankfurt. When you visit the site, Vercel processes your IP address, the time, which page you requested and your browser type, in order to deliver the site and protect it against attacks. Vercel's ordinary operational logs are kept for 1 day. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in running a secure website (Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies and statistics

The site sets one necessary cookie, cc_cookie, which remembers your choice in the cookie banner for 12 months.

If you say yes to statistics, I measure your visit with PostHog (PostHog, Inc., USA; data is stored on servers in Frankfurt). PostHog stores a cookie and local storage in your browser (the cookie ph_…_posthog, for up to 365 days) with a random ID, so I can see which pages are visited and how a visit hangs together. I also record how you use the site (clicks, scrolling and mouse movements) as a replay of the page. Text you type into fields is masked, and the contact form is not recorded. I also measure what you click on, whether you start and send the contact form, and which needs you ticked (but never your name, email or message). I have not enabled the collection of IP addresses at PostHog. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw your consent at any time under "Cookie settings" at the bottom of the page; PostHog's data in your browser is then cleared. Withdrawing does not affect processing that took place before you withdrew it.

If you say no, I only measure the visit anonymously in PostHog's cookieless mode: no cookies or other data are stored in your browser, and nothing is recorded. PostHog creates an ID on its server from, among other things, your IP address and your browser type together with a key that is changed and deleted every day, so a visit cannot be followed from one day to the next. I see which pages are visited and what you click on (such as buttons and links), but never what you type into fields, and the contact form is not measured. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Article 6(1)(f)). You can object by writing to me.

Fonts, images and scripts are loaded from the same address as the site. When PostHog measures, the measurement data is sent to PostHog's servers in the EU (eu.i.posthog.com and eu-assets.i.posthog.com).

Who receives the information

These suppliers process information on my behalf as data processors: Vercel (hosting), Resend (sending the form's emails), Google (my email) and PostHog (statistics). I do not sell or share information with others unless the law requires it.

Transfers outside the EU

Vercel, Resend and PostHog are US companies, so information may be processed in the USA. The transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, under which Vercel, Resend and PostHog all state that they are covered, and, as a supplement, the European Commission's standard contractual clauses in the suppliers' data processing agreements. This also applies although the site is served from Frankfurt and emails are sent from Ireland: Resend states that account data and email metadata and logs are stored in the USA. PostHog states that data is stored on servers in Frankfurt, but that processing in the USA is allowed under its data processing agreement. You can get a copy by writing to me.

Automated decisions

I make no automated decisions and do no profiling.

Your rights

You have the right to see what information I hold about you and to have it corrected or deleted. You can also ask me to restrict the processing, receive the information in a common format, or object to the processing. Write to magnus@amodostudio.dk and I will reply within one month.

If you believe I am processing your information incorrectly, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet), datatilsynet.dk.
